Setting up an integration between FireTail and PagerDuty enables you to connect alert and incidents notifications to PagerDuty. When you create an alert or incident you will be able to select the PagerDuty integration you have created as the method of receiving notifications.
1. Navigate to Integrations in the FireTail platform. Select the Create integration tab.
2. Click PagerDuty Issue.
3. In the Name of Integration field, enter a name for the integration.
Go to Services and click Service Directory. Select the Service that the integration will be added to.
Select the Integrations tab. Click, Add another integration.
Select Events API v2 as the integration type and click Add.
Find your integration in the list. Click the expand icon on the right, copy the Integration Key and paste it in the PagerDuty integration "routing_key" field.
5. Return to the FireTail platform and fill out the rest of the form:
Select US Events API or EU Events API from the Integration URL (Alert Events) field.
PagerDuty Event Alert Title - the title of the event.
Severity - select the severity from the dropdown.
PagerDuty Event Alert Summary - this is the text and information that will be populated into PagerDuty. You can change the text and the tokens if required. For a list of all tokens, go to Dynamic variables. Learn how to Customize a payload.
The integration is created and listed under the existing integrations tab You can now select this integration as a notification method when you create an alert or create an incident.
